You might have noticed that over the last few months JPIT has started to look a bit different: we have a new logo, and have gradually been rolling out an updated look.
This is one of the results of undertaking a comprehensive communications review last year. This found that our previous visual identity was not as effective as it could be in communicating to people what we do or who we are. It also didn’t always work well in digital environments, and nor did it meet the latest accessibility standards.
The process of refreshing our visual identity included several rounds of design, accessibility testing, and consultation. The result is a look and feel that is still recognisably JPIT but is clearer, brighter, bolder and more contemporary.
Our new logo is an evolution of the previous one but now tells a story of unity in diversity – with varied shapes and colours working together around a central cross, just as JPIT represents a partnership of Churches collaborating in different ways for peace and justice. Alongside the cross device, we have chosen to foreground our focus – Public Issues – rather than the initials JPIT or the name of the team, which convey very little to those unfamiliar with our work. Our unchanged strapline boldly proclaims what we are about, and you’ll still find our website at jpit.uk
We’re delighted with our new look, and we hope you will be, too. The work was undertaken at minimal expense, and to keep costs down, you’ll still see the old logo in use in places as we use up stocks of materials and gradually update things over the coming months.
You can download various versions of the new logo from here.
