This workshop was run by Rev Ian Rutherford, the City Centre Minister based at Methodist Central Hall, Rev Phil Jump, Regional Minister for the North West Baptist Association, and other members of the “Faith Network 4 Manchester”.
In the aftermath of the terror attack on Greater Manchester in which 23 people were killed, reports of hate crime on the basis of race and religion soared. Hear stories of people of all faiths standing together, having difficult dialogues about extremism, celebrating diversity and exploring collaboratively how best to challenge hate and pursue cohesion.
People were reminded that if they saw hate speech in the press they should write to the editor of that paper and to IPSO.
