Everyone is invited to pray with us that the end of poverty will be made a priority for our UK political parties. Coinciding with the Conservative and Labour Party Conferences in Manchester and Liverpool, we will be gathering in church buildings to pray and eat together, listen to the voices of people who experience poverty and discuss how our politicians can make the end of poverty a reality in the UK.
Join us in Manchester on 2nd and 3rd October for these events:
Monday 2 October
Methodist Central Hall, Oldham Street, Manchester, M1 1JQ
- 7.30am – Prayer breakfast
(Leave when you need to) - 11.15am-12 noon – Lived experience of poverty: a conversation
- 12.30-2pm – Drop in prayer, with prayer stations and led prayers at 12.45 and 13.30
- 3-4pm – Policy panel: Can we avoid another winter crisis? Cost of living and long-term solutions to poverty in the UK
- From 5.30pm – Dinner and prayer

Tuesday 3 October

- 12.45-1.45pm – Prayer vigil, a short walk then gathered prayer near the Labour Party Conference (outdoors)
