We want to make this conference as welcoming and inclusive as possible. That’s why we’re taking steps to open our doors to anyone and everyone, particularly those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend.
We recognise that a number of our supporters will have a range of access needs, both visible and harder to see. We want to make this conference as accessible to you as possible, so when you buy your tickets please let us know if you have any additional access needs. These could be physical, or the need for a bit of space during the conference to help you keep calm and enjoy the day.
For example, you might need extra support due to:
- Mobility issues
- Hearing issues – including needing to use a hearing loop
- Sight issues – including the need for extra copies of text
- Tiredness or fatigue
- Anxiety, or other mental health conditions
We will have a quiet space available on the day, which will be open to anyone who needs some time out of the main conference.
There will also be stewards on hand to support those with additional access needs, who will be clearly identifiable.
The conference has accessible bathrooms, and the main conference hall is level access. There is also a hearing loop.
Unfortunately, three of our workshops are up a set of stairs. This means they might not be accessible for everyone. We will do our best to accommodate everyone’s first choice of workshop, but please do get in touch if you have any questions.
Email us at enquiries@jpit.uk if you have any further questions about accessibility at the conference.
