Are you a young Christian who is passionate about issues of justice and peace? Do you want to explore the intersection of faith, policy, and politics, and potentially pursue a career in one of these fields?
Each year, there are opportunities to work with the Joint Public Issues Team for a year as an intern. The internships open for applications in the spring, for roles which usually run from September to the following August.

Meet our current interns
Erica Lees-Smith
JPIT Comms Intern
Erica has recently graduated from Queens’ College, Cambridge and is one of the 2025/26 JPIT interns, with a focus on digital communications. Her background in youth climate activism first inspired her to get involved with work exploring the relationships between the Church and climate injustices. She is particularly passionate about climate justice, marginalised voices, and anti-colonial justice.
Thomas Niblett
JPIT CAN Intern
Thomas is the JPIT 2025-26 intern with responsibility for the Constituency Action Network. He studied Politics, Sociology and Anthropology at Selwyn College, Cambridge, graduating in 2024, and spent a year in L’Arche Kent as a live in care assistant, working with people with and without learning disabilities. He lives in Egham, Surrey, and attends his local Anglican Church.
